Canyoning is the ultimate fun adventure and a fabulous gift.  The Canyons are located in the Waitakere Ranges Rainforest just west of Auckland.  It is only a 40 minute drive from Auckland Central. (or you can organise transport). Challenge your senses with this back to nature adrenalin rush, this trip has is all! We begin with a 35 minute walk through lush rainforest, you begin your descent into the canyon with a series of abseils, the biggest and most exhilarating of which is 50m, before entering a narrow volcanic gorge, with its hidden pools, caves and jumps. Finish off with a visit to Piha’s iconic black sands surf beach and Lion Rock. Light bakery lunch and refreshments…..Full wetsuit/harness/helmet and shoes/life jacket if required. …..Full instruction and abseil training with experienced, qualified guides. ……..Approximately 3 hours of canyoning. ……..A visit to Piha’s black sand beach. If you require transport to Piha ex Auckland Central this can be arranged when booking at an extra cost of $20.00. No previous experience is required, with canyoning you can decide on the level of adventure you want to experience. The New Zealand qualified instructors are certified for both abseiling and water activities – they make no compromise of safety.
