Your adventure begins with a thorough safety briefing including a demonstration on how to rappel /abseil a rope followed by a 20 minute walk along an old logging track into the Akatarawa forest where the first feature of the Little Akatarawa Canyon tour begins……The Little Akatarawa canyon is your perfect entry level tour to begin your canyoning adventures…….. We gear you up with all appropriate equipment to keep you safe and warm, then a short 15-minute walk up into the valley where we zip line you into the canyon and soon approach the first of 4 waterfall abseils. Wading through the shallows of the canyon and rock jumping into the deeper pools, we explore this beautiful wild and native hidden gem…….This canyon is Wellington's best kept secret. Only 45 minutes' drive from Wellington CBD, the perfect adventure when looking to cool off in the hot summer weather….. Transportation from the Upper Hutt train station or Wellington CBD can be arranged for an extra cost when making your booking.  (This is not included in this voucher)…..
